brother david steindl-rast: on happiness

Brother David Steindl-Rast in a monk of Mount Saviour Benedictine monastery in New York. In his TED talk, he talks about the key to happiness as being grateful. Being in a constant state of gratitude reminds us not to take things for granted and opens our vision to the endless opportunities that life presents us with. When things aren’t going the way you want, it’s easy to be negative and shut yourself down. Being happy is a choice and whatever situation we find ourselves in, we have the choice to move on from it and be grateful for what we have.

Please listen to his wise words

He sums up how to be grateful in three simple steps: stop, look, go.
